About ASDA

We’re all familiar with the great bum patting ASDA; their ethos is that by cutting out unnecessary waste from their business, they're able to keep costs down and deliver value to their customers. Which is true: you can’t deny that you get a great deal more for your money than at other leading supermarkets. ASDA Direct is their online arm, which not only allows you to order groceries online, but also Entertainment, such as DVDs, CDs, games and books.

They also have a digital newsagent, which allows you to download magazines in digital form. There’s an opticians service, mobile phones and SIM cards service, a pharmacy, florist, photography, travel - including flights, holidays and hotels and a gift selector. Who'd have known there was so much on offer at good old ASDA?

Delivery info

ASDA aim to deliver most items within 5 working days, however there may be some items that take a little longer; you can see the delivery periods for items on the product pages.

Delivery charges vary depending on the types of items that you have ordered, and in some cases your postcode. The delivery charge is for your total order; if your order is made up of a mixture of small/medium sized products you will incur a ‘standard delivery’ charge but if you include a large item your delivery charge will be at a higher price.

The majority of products can be delivered to all of the UK, but for Highlands/Islands/N Ireland and some remote areas this may take a little longer and cost a little more. Their delivery charges start at £3.95 for George Clothing and Footwear, small and medium sized general merchandise items cost £4.95 and larger items cost £18.95.

Some items are delivered directly from the manufacturers and these items may take a little longer to arrive.

Additional info

Did you know you can watch ASDA TV and listen to ASDA FM online? Seriously, The Spy never kids. I didn’t listen for too long, but what I heard wasn’t as horrific as I’d been expecting. Don’t take my word for it though, check out ASDA FM. There’s also ADSA Baby and an online magazine. ASDA also have a lot of information on their website about their commitment to fair-trade and the environment. They’ve definitely come a long way since The Spy was a nipper.
