The best of the airline sales

You can’t have failed to notice the airline wars that are on at the moment - British Airways are holding their September sale (which strangely started in August) and since then pretty much all of the other big airlines have just announced their sales too. What a coincidence! Anyway it’s great news for the consumer, as we have a selection of sales to cherry-pick from, including long-haul as well as short-haul. So now is most definitely the time to book a flight if you’re planning to head off to the Mediterranean to catch the last of the summer sun, or have a long-haul winter sun holiday you would like to take.

Starting on September 8, 2010, a fee will be charged for ESTA authorisation, which is required for travel to the United States, so if you are going to the USA be sure to book before then to save paying this additional charge!

Flybe - just pay taxes and charges
Until the 9th of September, Flybe are effectively giving away free flights to selected routes, such as Gatwick to Dusseldorf, Exeter to Paris and Exeter to Amsterdam, as all they are asking for is taxes and charges. Admittedly it isn’t the best selection of flights but hey, it is free.
